Virtual Learning Experience

Virtual Work Experience

Training at Freshfields can be hard but you constantly get the chance to develop.

You’re pushed – with support – from day one. I was working directly with partners very early on and able to interact with clients, which was great for building skills and experience.

Everything I’ve worked on here has amazed me.

Our work often involves multiple teams and jurisdictions so we have to try to understand all the different angles and bring together perspectives.

A lot of people use the word ‘collegiate’ about our culture here.

I think that we look out for each other and there’s a strong team atmosphere. Our networks are important: I’m part of our Black Affinity Network, which has members from all over the globe. Bringing everyone together in one space is a fantastic experience.

I don’t think there is really a ‘Freshfields type’.

You can let your personality shine through and everyone is sociable. I am involved with our Stephen Lawrence Scholarship scheme, which I had heard about before joining the firm.

Freshfields in three words?
